The SmartThings Water Leak Sensor can monitor moisture to send you alerts that could prevent a leak from becoming a flood plus can monitor temperature. -slickdewmaster

Great price on this! Have a couple of these. They pair easy and work great. Haven't had an actual use yet but test them occasionally and they always work.

Almost pulled the trigger on this and noticed this uses Zigbee instead of Z-wave FYI.

I had a flood alert from my st water sensor when my washing machine failed and overflowed. Found and was able to stop everything just as the water was beginning to approach the carpeted area. Saved me a lot of damage. The notification was almost instananeous. Totally worth it.

And they were 19.99 in December, how is this slick? Don't get me wrong I like them way better than the xiaomi, as these stay connected and just work, but the price is too high

Same price on BB and directly from Samsung (cheaper with Unidays or Corporate accounts)

ST water leak sensor is discounted to $25. First time in 2018 it's been below $35.

These things suck! They aren't even waterproof.

Is this a decent option to monitor for sump pump failing, something like that? Or is this more for watching under a sink?

Using my corporate discount at the Samsung site,
It is $23.12 with no tax (TX) and free shipping.
https://www.samsung.com/us/smart-...f-wtr-us-2

[Edit] At checkout, it charged tax. Damn!
So $25.03 shipped from Samsung.

They have little detectors on the bottom of the sensor. They detect and send a signal to your smarthub.

Re: waterproof. If they get that wet, a $25 sensor is the least of my worries. I've tested mine a few times in water, and they still work just fine.
