Shipping is free on orders over $99 or shipping is free on your whole order when you add a beauty item to your order (from $3 [macys.com]), lower cost beauty items will not work for the free shipping.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

What you want are sold as "suit separates." Most brands treat those as second class. In other words, suit separates are usually lower quality than a traditional 2 piece. If you want to go that route, Macy's has nicer suit separates than say Kohl's or JC Penney. I'm not sure Men's Wearhouse even carries them in store, but if they do, from experience, the salesman will try to steer you toward a 2 piece because there will likely be more commission for him. The sales people at Macy's aren't as aggressive, and would help you find what you want without necessarily trying to steer you away from suit separates.

Honestly, you're not going to beat these prices by buying separates -- even after you pay a tailor to adjust the pants.

also, do yourself a favor, and make sure you only buy wool. most separates are not wool. wool looks nicer, and wears better over time.

How do you determine the correct waist size pant accompanying the coat.

The standard is a 6" drop from the jacket size. A size 40 jacket comes with 34" waist trousers.

Stores should state if it's a 6in drop or 7in drop usually. Which sucks. If you are average build, say a size 40 coat, you would get a size 34 pants. For example.

I wish it comes with an option to select what size of pant one will like.

With suits they expect you to alter the garment for the proper fit.

Almost anywhere. Google tailors in your area, seamstress', and even some nicer laundromats offer such services.

Most Americans are obese. What kind of profit are they hoping to get with slim fit.
