Any Plexperts out there?

Hi I just started having issues with my Plex server. I'm running my Plex server on my desktop computer which is directly connected to my wireless router and I have no Internet at home. Up until today I was able to connect over the LAN with my television with no issues (which has a built in Roku) but today I can't… I can connect to the Plex server through my iPhone over the local area network though. I set up a hotspot and did an update on my television and installed the latest version of Plex app on my TV and I made sure the server on my computer was up-to-date but still no go… I have no idea what changed. Any ideas?

Edit: I also tried running Plex on my TV while it was connected to my hotspot but it still cannot find the server.

I don't consider myself a plexpert by any means so don't consider this golden.

I would start by connecting to plex via your iphone and then going into the settings. Somewhere, buried deep (in the 'server' section look for 'network') is an option to allow certain IPs and/or networks to connect without authentication. Add your local private network there (something like 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0)

I'm *assuming* that your cookie expired and the client is trying to get to the internet to authenticate again.

I believe the newer versions of plex require a free plex account which probably requires interment access. I would also recommend rebooting everything I have had times where the plex service kind of freaks out and a reboot fixes that.

Thanks, tried adding my subnet with no avail. Still same issue. I've also updated my RokuTV, my Plex app and my plex server and of course rebooted everything too.

Connected my plex server and my TCL Roku TV to the internet through my phone's hotspot and it worked again. I was hoping that would maybe jumpstart it back up so to speak, but once they were just back on the local LAN, no go.
