green cell, like a AA battery. i was going to test it over the weekend to see what the problem was. looks like QC issues when a whole batch of banks do not charge.

2200/2800mAh? Gonna need something else to keep these charged. Even if free (AR and mail and little work), these are still not as useful. Most likely will be left at places like glove box etc and never used.

Thinking to get ethernet cables though. Thanks OP.

The battery was so depleted that the lithium ion became unstable and exploded, wow

Was it the green one or the red one ? The green one was 18650 cells. Those cells don't explode.

if i have to guess i would say it's the green one. all the reds that i got are working but the green one is making a very strange noise when i try to charge it, and it very changes.

The green ones are the shotgun cans type so they are very sturdy. But the red ones are like the thin battery pouch in your cell phone so they go belly up when they go bad. When you see that it doesn't necessarily mean they exploded.

Curious what is everyone doing with these power banks besides charging their phones? I'm going to have to find some use for them or give them away.
