From Academy Sports: https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/...hildCatid= Academy has a number of stores in the midwest and southern US for those that aren't familiar.

Well reviewed, especially at the price. It looks like this is the cheapest this treadmill has ever been. Features on this are what you'd expect to find on a $800-$1000 treadmill. For full list, see: https://www.proform.com/treadmills/power995i

Here are some highlights:

iFit Coach Ready, 20x60 deck, 3hp motor, 300lb capacity, 0-12mph, 0-15% incline,2.5" rollers, cushioned deck, folds up for storage Overall, good features for the price.

Treadmill Reviews 5/5
Top Fitness Magazine 95/100
Treadmill Doctor 5.5/10
Fitrated 89%
USA Home Gym 4/5

One-ply belt, but not an issue for most, new belts seem to cost $100 but shouldn't need to be replaced for quite some time.

I did have a couple issues checking out. On the confirmation screen under freight carrier it says $147.50 so I called to confirm that wasn't a charge that would be passed along to me. On my paypal receipt it shows a $147.50 credit for shipping which they confirmed on the phone before ordering. However, during the call-in process they tried to submit the order for me which trigger a fraud alert on the card which in turn placed a fraud alert in their system so I ended up paying via paypal which I hadn't planned on.

Looks tempting but I'm afraid to purchase a treadmill anywhere other than Costco where I could easily return a lemon. Is this worth the risk ?

I bought a proform treadmill from Costco and proform's customer service is pretty nonexistent. Luckily nothing is broken and i was able to fix the issue myself but still. Would expect more from a Costco vendor

Tempted but reviews seem to indicate the CPU on this thing fails like every 3 months.

Damn.... I was looking to snag a treadmill too. Reviews look shaky. Might snag one off Craigslist instead.

Ditto on the nonexistent customer support, but definitely a decent buy. Did have a problem with the manual showing incorrect options for the treadmill maintenance mode (incorrect steps to access, plus the inability to turn the sound off; the manual shows steps to turn the beeping off, while the maintenance/setup menu option doesn't exist).

I got it 4 years ago through my company's fitness subsidy and have been using it at least twice a week for a 6 mile run each day. It is still working fine. I suggest you get the extended warranty tho.

Nope. Read the post below yours. I would not buy ICON Fitness products (if and only if I had to) from any other stores except from Costco

Costco might not know about aftersales service quality ICON has. But I hope eventually they might catch up when there is too many dissatisfied returns and might drop out selling all ICON products.
There aren't any competitors to ICON in the sub $2000 price point that have better customer service. ICON dominates almost the entire consumer fitness market.

That said, if you buy ICON's more expensive equipment that come with a two-year labor and five-year parts warranty, they have pretty solid customer service in my experience. Just don't expect that kind of service for your $700 pro-form machine.

So yes, if you are buying a cheaper machine, buy it from Costco. If you buy it anywhere else and it breaks you are SIL.
