How does people selling 1 year subscription of Sling orange and blue on E bay from $20 to $40? Are they real?

I was wondering myself too. Initially I thought they may have figured a way to hack Sling's system, but its actually much more crude than that.

They hack credentials and they give you the credentials of people paying for the service. Hence the "don't change the password" rule that comes with all of the listings. I was curious, so I bought a Blue package and received a login and password.

They work, but I digged in a little bit and it was the hacked account of some poor guy in Texas. It's very icky. While it works, I requested refund and will not be using it because it feels so freaking low
