For what its worth, this is about the same price as monoprice after shipping. That said it will only do 30 hz. If you need to be able to do 60 hz then you will want to get one like.

I've had good luck with these hooking them up to tvs after i've gone in and manually set the refresh rate to 60hz via the display drivers.

Will this work on a Dell XPS 13?

Edit: Mini display port, not USB-C, so no it won't! Reading is fundamental.

Sorry to distract the thread, is there a converter from HDMI to HDMI 2.0 for 4K? My Vizio has only one 2.0 port.

The 4K on these is mostly useless at only 30hz.

The source and the TV negotiate the HDMI. So if your TV does HDMI 2.0, the questions is does your source? The cable can also be a limiting factor, but that's mainly a speed/bandwidth rating (e.g. 30Hz vs 60Hz which requires more bandwidth), there is almost no circuitry in the cable itself.
