Like, say, the Amazon vault case for the Switch [amazon.com], which is the same price (but an add-on item, so you have to spend $25 total to get it). I just received the red version, and it is built like a tank.

This is a thin barebones carrying case that has almost no protection/cushioning for the Switch and doesn't fit the grip case. Buy something better for a few more bucks.

There is a way to order it with alexa without meeting the required $25. I saw instructions posted before. If you dont have an alexa device, the amazon music app has alexa.

I have this case in the lime green, it's fantastic.

Not sure what the guys above are talking about.

I toss this in my bag and travel with it quite a bit, does everything I need it to. I only wish it held a travel adapter it's quite snug.

Yes, it is pretty barebone but I like that it's got a flap that works as a stand. I kept it just for that use.

Doesn't the Switch already have a stand?

I agree. This case is fine if you're just caring the Switch and no accessories, but the bottom part that holds the Switch itself isn't very deep. If you put anything that isn't flat in the top section (like a pair of JoyCons), it will put pressure on the bottom section when you close it. It makes a tight, uncomfortable fit that may drain your JoyCons from accidentally triggering the buttons too much.

Yeah but pretty flimsy for a stand and the angle is quite steep

The problem with the basic case this thread is about is that there's too little cushion and that it's too tight (presses switch's shoulder buttons in when switch is in case). The problem with the vault case you link is that it's horrible for the switch if it gets turned on in the case. The tight foam around the switch will overheat it badly. You really should put the switch actually off before using the vault case (not to sleep like just pressing the power button).

Shows as $12.99 with Prime shipping, but when i drop down for color options, it's in the list as $4.67. Can't get that price though.

The black version does show up as $5.49 as add-on though, which I got.
