Not sure what you'd consider a "kid's game". Some of my relatives consider all video games "for kids" =P

But there are plenty of games for everyone at this point. What genre or types of games do you like?

It's fun, but difficult. The best part is that you can switch between the original retro version and the HD version with a button at any time. Definitely worth checking out.

I've heard great things about this game on steam.
any clue if there is any lost features/extra nintendo features (mario skins etc) on the switch?
and any performance issues on switch?

aside from zelda and mario/mario kart - i would say puzzle games. The DS had good ones i remember. do they still have those dance games?

I guess it would be too much to ask for multiplayer call of duty or something similar for the Switch.

I'm not going to get an xbox or playstation. this is pretty much it for me. I race my road bike and run evenings so there is little time to play aside on the occasional night.

not a big fan of difficult platformers (for no reason other than being the owner of clumsy irresponsive fingers) like Celeste, meat boy, but seems like reviews and SDers' feedback are positive, so might give it a shot (with Amazon no rush credits used to purchase Nintendo credits). thank you for the feedback

The switch also has more mature games on it such as: Bayonetta, LA Noire, Doom, Skyrim, etc.

I picked this up pretty early in the Switch lifetime as I had a little nostalgia (had some limited Master System experience). This is a really well executed remaster with stunning artwork. Gameplay wise, it's no Celeste (but in terms of required precision or quality), but it holds up amazingly well. If you like classic Platformers, this is well worth the price.

Thanks! I had no idea about Celeste, instant purchase after looking it up.

Celeste is phenomenal on the Switch and well deserving of its reviews. It handles being a platformer on a system without a good D-pad amazingly well. A nice story with a lot of replayability and from what I understand, a very configurable assist mode if needed. I was able to get through the main game without it, but I may eventually need to enable it for some B-sides.
