I think the big price and thumbnails for deals should be for the same thing

If you show a low price for an item that costs twice as much, that's clickbait. I posted about this a few months ago, and it seemed like there was some agreement with that. Yet a senior deal editor has a puma shoe deal on the front page right now with $20 - $25 shoes and the big price shown is $10 which is for shirts.

No one is trying to be misleading.
Sorry for any confusion.

When deals are set up some meta data is added and the lowest price is put in a field.
After that if the deal is popular enough to make FP.. a pic is selected as primary image for things like APPS and such that have a smaller display and can only show one image. It seems that the multiple items just didn't match up and it might be less evident that it's a bigger sale with many items in the view you are using.

Hi duronboy Smilie

When the deal was promoted to the Front Page, the Deal Editor inadvertently listed the Shoe ($25 item) first in the title and the Shirt ($10 item) second..
which caused the price in the price field to not match the Front Page image.

I have switched them around so that the price ($25) now matches the image.

Thank you so much for the heads-up on this.

The worst part is when I see stuff like this I have to figure out if I missed the deal, am blind, or if its just misrepresented.

I just find it impossible to believe that there's no way to adjust a price shown on the FP. Nobody believes that.

I do feel better about the replies I got last time I brought it up such as "We try as hard as we can to eliminate the issue" and "We can always take a look at it to see if there's any adjustments we can make"
Hi duronboy
