This card basically has all the bells and whistles as far as specs.

U3 rated, A1 rated, V30 rated (all the specs of sandisk micro sd cards for a cheaper price).

So how's this any better of deal than the Samsung Evo 128gb card for less money? Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME128GA/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZW....AbPTVVEPY

that card is not A1 or V30 certified. im sure it would work fine for those needs anyways. but if someone wants a card that is 100% certified then go with the PNY. for instance if you are going to use in a phone specifically for app storage i would go with the PNY. if you are only using to store photos and HD videos from a phone the Evo is fine. if you have a brand new phone/device that does 4k 60fps, even though the evo would probably be ok, i would stick with the PNY.

It sounds like V30 and U3 mean the same thing, except V standard is new?..
Anyhow, here's list of microSD card test results.

I recently bought Samsung Evo Select for about $4 cheaper. I think I will stick to it for now since it is plenty fast for my applications Smilie

i agree, it'll probably work for most people. the PNY is more specifically for people using it in their phones for "installed applications" where people are running installed apps from sd card storage. i think the evo will work too, but the PNY is officially certified to work like that. its a specification that is not just justified in raw write/read speeds, but more of in access times (IOPS)

https://havecamerawilltravel.com/...nce-class/

i am a huge bang for buck kind of shopper. but i also have that damn thing in the back of my mind "it needs to say guaranteed on the box" (if you've seen tommy boy).

i will also say, just because a card doesnt have a A1 label, doesn't mean it cant have those IOPS speeds. i remember around the time the U3 rating had just starting coming out on cards, there were some samsung cards that were still labeled U1, but had faster read/writes then official U3 cards of the time. luckily i found reviews that broke it all down, so in that case i was comfortable buying the U1 card over the U3 card.

it would be nice if micro sd reviewers started including IOPS and minimum sustained sequential write speeds in their reviews so we can find the best bang for bucks cards that still have all the right specs (certified or not).

i would only buy micro sd cards from amazon direct. there are too many fakes floating around. especially from "just launched" sellers".

I know this will work in a Switch, but would it get worn out prematurely, and also, would it be fast enough?
