Why are people arguing it's $199 when OP says it's not $199? Rude.

That's way too big for most room unless you have a decently tall vaulted ceiling.

Is there a "standard size" when buying a fan like this? Never ever purchased a fan before and my house has 2 prewired locations for fans(living room, master bed)

42-52" is pretty standard when it comes to bedrooms/living rooms. However if you have a larger living area or great room (think 20'x20'+) with high ceilings (10'+) then 60-70" may work.

Not sure, I think it is just the wording.

The regular price is $249... and the sale is %20 of the regular price... which makes the fan $199 for the daily special.

Hope this helps someone?

The amount of airflow or cfm on the spec page is listed twice, with 2 different numbers, both low.
6,376-CFM under the description
4,851-CFM under specifications

Both of those numbers are low if you want to be able to feel air movement
Check the reviews, the lower ones complain about the lack of airflow.

This seems to be the downfall with residential DC-ceiling fans, which are far more efficient, this one claims 37w at high-speed. .
