Not exactly a sale price, but the Huawei MateBook X Pro is finally available to purchase in America. I'm surprised none of the tech blogs have made mention of it. Bought one this morning thinking that it would sell out in no time after going public, lol.

Huawei announced that the official release date is May 21st, so I think Newegg just jumped the gun and quickly made it unavailable when they realized people were ordering. They did fulfill my order, and I got it the very next day.

Why would they? It's a weird laptop situated between the XPS 13 and 15, except the XPS 15 is the superior device, and the XPS 13 will have superior customer service.

I saw this laptop at a store in Japan a few months back, it might of had diff specs I'm not sure off the top of my hand. The screen and the build on the laptop is amazing, it beats any other brand hands down. The price tag is at a premium but you get what you pay for here.

As per The Verge [theverge.com]:
Quote :
The Matebook X Pro is available today from Amazon, Newegg, and Microsoft's website, as well as in Microsoft Stores starting May 23rd. To sweeten the deal, Huawei is also offering anyone who buys a Matebook X Pro online from Amazon or Newegg — or in a physical Microsoft Store (but apparently not Mircosoft's website) — by June 10th a free $300 gift card for any store of choice.
However, I cannot seem to find any details/source for the $300 gift card.

It's on Microsoft's link in footnote.
