Hi Everyone,

MMA warehouse is offering BOGO free on Hypnotik gis using promo code "BOGO". I'm relatively new to Jiu Jitsu, and am just now stocking up on Gis but this seems like a good deal on a well rated Gi. Free shipping on all purchases over $49. Full disclosure, I've never owned a hypnotik gi, these 2 will be my first!

Never tried these before, but from the descriptions of the cheaper gi's I wouldnt expect these gi's to last more than 2 years each(or 1 year if you roll everyday).... but hey thats still 4 years worth of gi's for around $100. TU

I'm curious why people are thumbing down. Quality? Or price? I'm not upset, just wondering what I have in store for me since I bought a pair.

I don't want to resurrect a dead deal, but I thought the following information would be good information if someone does a search in the future.

I own gi's from several different manufacturers ranging from Fuji (my academy gi), 93Brand, Flow, Hypnotik, and two from Origin of Maine (Black Axiom - $324 and Black Jocko DEF gi - $198 direct). Hypnotik makes a good quality gi for the money. Almost all BJJ gis are manufactured by the same group of clothing manufacturing companies in Pakistan; Flow's are actually made in China and Origin's have been made in the US since a few years ago. Fit and finish of Hypnotik are great in my experience, and I have rolled with others who love their Hypnotik gis. For the money, they are hard to beat.

Hypnotik sizing is true to size for other Gi manufacturers in my experience. I'm 6'4 and 270 lbs (size 40 pants and XL t-shirt), and for most manufacturers I wear an A5, Hypnotik included. Flow's are undersized (my A5 Flow Axion Blue is a tad too small), and Origin's are big (I wear an A4 in my Axion and DEF).

I'm sad I missed this deal, as it would have allowed me to pick up a few more gis for me and my gf, who also trains. But hopefully this information will prove useful historically.

I definitely appreciate the info! FWIW, the 2 Gis I bought in this deal have been great. I'm not an expert yet, and haven't worn as many different brands, but the 550 Pro is my favorite gi out of my small collection. The gun metal grey gi is pretty slick too. Definitely thrilled with the quality considering I got 2 for the price of 1. Guessing those that thumbed down this deal do not roll...

Glad to hear, and they likely don't. Good luck and go train! Smilie . OSS! Also, check out BJJHQ.com for daily deals on bjj-related stuff. I've had great luck with them on some really good deals. I think 80% of my rashguards came from them, and two of my Venum gi's. MMAHQ.com is their sister site and they have deals as well. They're both affiliated with rollmore.com, who sell gi's with a no questions asked return policy, even if you wash/dry it. No one else offers that.
