For so many people, these will be all you need. An open can that's still got bass. Just get them.

I've been waiting a whole year for a deal on this! Only difference from the original X2s were the padding according to the reviews. Otherwise, sound quality is great for bass lovers. Tried them at local guitar center.

Yep, I remember when the X2's were $330. Best cans that I've ever bought.
That reminds me, my Hifiman 400i's should be here today.

I'm leaning toward the 6xx.

Paid $235 back in March for these from last deal from same vendor. Frown

Great cans, but your mobo might not have power to push them at full volume. My ASRock Z170 struggles. You might want to consider amp depending how well your mobo will push them.

I have had both and I must say both are comfortable and both are good. You won't be disappointed with either one. They Fidelios are comfy and so are th Sennheiser's. Since I haven't had the original Al Fidelios for over two years I can't comment which one is better as currently I have th Sennheisers but I do remember that I loved the Fidelios

I still love my older X2 headphones. I've had headphones with better highs, and some with better lows, but none that were as all-around enjoyable and immersive as these.

They sound pretty similar. I own both and prefer the X2 by small margin.

I still like my old X1's the best.... not as neutral as the X2 but the slightly warmer sound is more enjoyable for music
