That made you sick? LOL.

That said, I'm not sure I'd consider this a good deal. The Lenovo code+sale earlier today gave had a Flex 5 (15") with the same CPU, RAM, & HDD + 256 GB PCIe SSD, fingerprint reader, 2x2 ac, and USB 3.0+ instead of 2.0 (LOL, Dell. Really? In 2018?) for $789 + 3% off if you use urlhasbeenblocked.

Also, although this SD listing claims 2x2 ac, I don't see it anywhere on the actual Microsoft site.

Dell seems determined to turn the Inspiron product line into a low end dump; many of the models with Ethernet ports are packing 10/100 instead of 10/100/1000. Again, in 2018.

Wait, saving $290 at the cost of a 256GB SSD and a few other minor features isn't a good deal?

I wish we could limit who can/can't speak on laptops because people love comparing Apples to Oranges!

Almost 5 pounds. That's a lot to carry around.

For comparison: a 3 year old macbook pro weighs 25% less than this Dell.

Agreed. It's not just laptop threads though. After following (and posting) a lot of computer, smartphone and video game threads over the years, I've noticed those thread subjects in particular attract an absurdly high level of misleading or flat out false statements.

A 2015 Macbook Pro weighs 4.49 pounds. This weighs 4.58 pounds. How is that 25% less and when did a half pound become nearly one pound? See my comment above. You're a perfect example of this ridiculous behavior.

And you didn't pay $500 for your MBP either.

The best way to do it to go to Dell product page site and check that out, right, whether it has 2x2? And you have done so much analysis, could have done that as well, which would have been at least fruitful addition to your analysis. Anyway, here is the link, go and check the official configuration by expanding the Configuration Tab:
http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/de...cwdar0008h

And $789 for just a SSD addition in Flex 5, So let me get this right, you want to pay $280 extra for 256GB SSD and one extra USB 3.0 port.....And that deal is a better deal!!!!

You can get 256GB SATA III M.2 SSD around $60, totaling $560. Also, Flex 5 has single Ram slot and here you have 2 Slots. By spending that much money, you can actually add a 512GB SSD, another 8GB ram ($100 + $75) and still have $100 in your hand. The final Dell Configuration would be: 16GB DDR4 + 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD with total price of $675
