Roland KSC-70 is the factory stand. But I use two milk crates on each end.

I've been learning piano on the FP-30 for six months. Going pretty well so far.

Got this for my piano playing gf last sale cuz she moved to an apartment and didn't want the bulk of her acoustic. She loves it and can recommend to others.

How does this compare to a Yamaha PSR-225GM? It's an older keyboard with velocity sensing, but not weighted keys.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what brand pedal to get? I am buying this for my mom but I have no clue what other accessories are required besides a chair and pedal and stand. Never played a piano. Please help!

With the Supernatural Sound and PHA4 keys, this over the Korg any day for me.

It comes with a sustain pedal, so you don't need to buy a pedal (the other pedal, mainly sostenuto, isn't used often). So, just a stand and chair. An X stand works ok (the double X works better than the single ones).

The main thing though.. is ... does your mom already play the piano? A lot of times people buy an instrument but only use it for a few months.

Well she said she wanted to learn to play. So I'm getting a piano for her as a gift. I'm still living under the same roof so if she's doesn't end up using it. I'll use it Big Grin and thanks again!

Do you already play? If not, why not learn it with her? Piano is a good hobby; a life-long hobby where you can still play it when you can't safely play (say) basketball anymore.

ZZounds priced matched it at $470 with no tax and free two day shipping if you're interested. Also has an option to split up in no interest payments.
