You will be disappointed. Especially with the lackluster premium edition.

I don't see why. You can't get the standard version for the price anywhere else.

The story in Ni No Kuni 1 is better. It made you feel obligated to push and see it through because of how unfortunate Oliver was. I actually finished the 1st game within a week because of how hooked I was. This game though, I'm on my 4th week and getting bored here and there. Bought it when it first came out.

The game, as a game, is good. The game, as a story-drive journey, is meh. You have to realize that this game is very very corny and is definitely meant for kids. If you're an adult with any seriousness, you will likely find this game's story bland and uninteresting.
