This is a great coffee maker. Mine has been flawless for 6ish years. My sister just recently replaced hers, but it was from mold buildup in the reservoir due to lack of maintenance.

Yeah, I leave the top up on mine when I pull the grounds.

Some nice deals. Not a big fan of combined-function brewers, but for $50 I'd buy if I needed one.

This was good for a while but would just randomly turn on after a while. Was very strange. And no, there was no schedule set. But that was after quite some time. I didn't like the grinder so I didn't use it.

My wife and I have/love the Grind & Brew coffee maker. No more pesky grinds all over our countertop! The only things to be aware of:
- The heating element turns off after 1 and a half hours. You can trick the system to turn back on by opening/spinning/closing the tray, turning the grinder off with the button, and powering on. Essentially, it tricks the system into thinking it just brewed a new pot and resets the timer.
- Make sure to clean the chute where grinds travel regularly! I clean ours every other time I refill the top basket with beans. Otherwise, the grinds will clog the chute and not make it to the filter.

EDIT! Mine appears to be the older model. So I don't know if my tips apply. But we do love ours and I assume the entire line is good.

The amazon one linked above is just a regular coffee maker. The Macy's one grinds the coffee beans where the amazon one does not. It's about $140 on amazon

Cuisinart is junk now because it's now Conair. We have Cuisinart microwave oven. Poor quality, cannot be serviced in the field. Must return to service center.

Been using an Aeropress and Chemex (when I have the patience to lol). How does the Grind and Brew compare to either?

Your manual method probably tastes way better but the machine is convenient. I can't give an exact comparison but I can say coffee tastes better using a French press and freshly ground in a blade grinder. We end up using more beans in the machine to get it to taste almost as good.
