Are these actually Lithium Ion? I don't see any mention and controller batteries are normally NiMH

It says so in the features but I don't know for sure.

✪Li-ion rechargeable battery, which is much better than Ni-MH and Ni-Cd in capacity and lifetime. Shorter charging time, lighter weight and no more problems with capacity fading in comparison with the Ni-MH battery.

Don't waste your money on this junk or any of the proprietary battery packs. Just get some good AA rechargeables such as these Eneloops for $18:

They'll last longer, are more versatile, and are cheaper in the long run. You can always leave a pair (or two) on the charger while using a pair.
