This is the cheapest price since November 2017 for the three piece setup, there were black friday posts giving prices of $369 and $349 from Costco. I would guess you aren't going to see a significantly better price until next black friday or they replace this model with a new generation.

Netgear Orbi or google wifi 4 pack? I have a 2500 sq ft ranch with a walkout. I think two should do me. I can sell one of these or one of the google on ebay. the google is cheaper, but tom's recommends netgear. I have had a good track record with netgear routers and hardware.

Tried both. Orbi >>> google. In my case Google had problem switching access points as I moved around the house, so I always hanging on an access point that's not the closest one, and getting lower throughput. Sort of defeat the purpose of mesh network. I also hated google's app only approach to setup. Yes it's simpler but it was a nightmare if you need to troubleshoot issue. That was driving me crazy. Switched to Orbi and never looked back.

thanks, was leaning that way even though it cost more. on second thought, i think i'll get google wifi and sell a puck. either way, costco has my back if there's issues.

I just set this up in my 5,000 sqft 2-floor home. One of the satellites shows only fair reception but I can't put it anywhere else so going to have to live with it. Regardless, did a little testing and doesn't seem to impact bandwidth. Speed tests from any location in my house show that I'm getting the same bandwidth as the speed test directly from the router.
