This projector is made for bright room situations, and is probably similar to the 3050. The benq 2050 is basically the same as the 3050 though. I'd either get the benq 2050 when it's on sale for cheap, or get this Epson. This Epson doesn't have the best black lvls, and it's not the best for gaming. But otherwise, its solid

This is an insane deal. I had the refurbished for $1200 and sent it back to get the viewsonic 4k that is supposed to ship this week. This projected delivers in every way.

Loving this projector. Great price. Wish I could have waited for this price. Being able to watch it for the last 5 months has been worth the 200 bucks more I paid.

Same situation if I didn't get in on the viewsonic I would be using this. Still waiting for the viewsonic to ship

Will this work well in a living room with a lot of day light coming through windows?

I'm thinking those may not even ship. Tempted to buy this and let it sit in the box just in case. OP should also note Best Buy charges a 15% restocking fee if opened.

Bought mine yesterday and they price matched their last sale of this at 999. This thing is amazing. I have it 19ft away at 135" and on eco it's still plenty bright even with ambient light.

IMO, no. I'd take the Epson 5040, or the JVC that was $2k a couple weeks ago over the cheaper 4k projectors. Benq's solid if you're looking for a starter projector. The 2050 refurb often goes sub $500. I really only look at JVC, Epson and Sony for higher end projectors. There are others like runco, but they're way out of my price range.

If you are looking for 4K, Sony would be where I'd start. But those start at $4-5k
