1. No rewards on any purchase.
2. Discounted price does not stack with B2G1F promos that staples has very frequently.
3. No rewards on any purchase.
4. In-store promos are cheaper than the Plus pricing.
5. No rewards on any purchase.
6. Prices are higher than Office Depot sales.
7. No rewards on any purchase.
8. No rebates anymore.
9. Did I mention no rewards on any purchase.

10. no sales price for rewards plus member. i.e. if the sale price for a ream of paper is $0.01, you still pay your designed 'cheaper' price, say $4.99.

Yep have had a few orders canceled for various reasons and my experiences with CS make me stay away from Staples. Unfortunately we don't have any Office Depot/Office Max nearby.

the only good thing about it is you can turn in 20 ink cart as opposed to the standard 10 and it is immediate so you can turn in the 20 cart in the same month you upgrade.

What a turnaround? Staples used to be the best company in customer service. Now, judging from comments here, it has dropped to the bottom.

To be CLEAR, you CAN NOT recycle 20 carts or 10 for non members unless you buy at least $30 in ink or toner in the last 6 months.

I have had nothing but trouble on getting these rewards. I always need to chat or call after the 5th month.. For some reason they always loose the sixth recycling reward untill I give them reciept # of the qualifying ink/toner purchase date AND the reciept# of the ink carts I recycled for the 6th month. My dashboard is NOT proof of anything. YOU MUST save all reciepts. They have a habit of not emailing my reciepts, so I stare at the POS display with my finger ready to hit the email AND print the store reciept button before the impatiant cashier bypasses your response.. also DO NOT leave until you look closely at you reciept. I have recieved credit for 1 cart I have recieved credit for only 10, while I have all 20 neatly counted in a clean clear plastic bag.. Again get and save the store reciept even if you choose both email and print at the terminal. I know when I am going to have trouble when I get home and that emailed reciept is not in my in box. It will be the reciept I will be calling / chatting about later.. It is like trying to get a NEW EGG rebate!

Lets also not forget using these rewards is a PIA too. If you actually get that $40 reward, you should be aware you can use it to buy a item less than $40 in store only, and only then will they offer you a reciept with a remainder on it that MUST be used compleatly on the next purchase or you loose it. You get to carry that heat sensitive reciept in your pocket for up to 6 weeks in hopes of it being legigible, or scanable untill you need it. I end up spending it on electronics that cost more than the reward to avoid the remainder problem. You can NOT use it online unless your purchase is more than the reward value.

I used to be a premier member. I would spend $1000 or more a year, but since the hardball rule changes, I see I have spent less than the rewards earned. Some bean counter in corperate is going to see this trend and kill the ink/toner recycling program completely and they can at any time based on the T&C. If you are counting on the ink rewards you should know this and its history.. I believe it is on borrowed time. When and if that happens I will be pissed, because I paid $50 for that "membership status" and in my mind it is a contract, but the T&C seams murkey leagal mumbo-jumbo to me and getting and spending these rewards are getting dificult anyway. Maybe it is on purpose on their part, IDK..

I probably will not persue membership in November when mine expires.

I would save a copy of your membership offer and the T&C on the date you join, just in case they retroactivaly change the terms.. You might get your membership refunded..

This actually sounds good. It makes me wonder why I was not just paying the $49 to be able to recycle 20 instead of 10/month. I have been loosing a lot of money. Am I missing something? It appears to be targeted to particular Amex accounts. Even at $49, it may be worth it. TIA
