I got in on a similar deal more than a year ago. Similar bag, got it to carry my Laptop around.

The only thing I didn't realize I really like in a bag like this is some sort of a handle on the top of the flap. Something to make it easy to carry when you don't want the shoulder strap on, etc.

I solved this issue with a very inexpensive "replacement luggage handle" I found on Ebay and shipped from China. Probably a $4 fix and looks original to the product.

Just an FYI for anyone with the same issue.

I would not be so sure. Check out reviews just in case on Amazon. In case you like it and the price is right, there is a chance that 14 inch will still fit in, the manufacturer usually builds in some extra capacity.

Timbuk2 messenger bags aren't really that great. The only thing that they have a stronghold on is how you can easily adjust the strap (makes it so that the bag hugs you and makes running a little easier) That's what you're paying for imo. I have another bag that's better minus that Timbuk2 strap..... Ehhhhhh

Came here to say this. My current bag does not have a handle, which is why I'm looking for a new one.
