Not the best deal I have seen for the Fire TV, But if you're looking, the Fire TV is one of the cheapest and best media players out at this time. But even at that price if your looking today for one, not bad. Especially if you follow the instructions included below to Build the 3rd gen up to rival the 2nd gen in streaming videos, but smaller and hidden behind the tv.

Super Easy and inexpensive to add Gigabit Ethernet and USB ports with an OTG adaptor or cable to the 3rd generation Fire TV. Or the 2nd generation fire stick and up, like in the pictures I provided of one of mine. You can hook up high speed internet with ethernet cable, thumb drive for external storage and use any USB wifi or corded keypad with touchpad or mouse

Or

Get whatever 3 Port USB 3.0 Hub with RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet USB to Ethernet Adapter you want. If it is powered like the Ugreen do not use the power.

This one is Aluminum like the one I am using with the Fire TV in the picture.

PLastic will also work just fine and is lighter.

You may also benefit from good cat7 ethernet wire. Even if you currently are not running at gigabit speeds, get ready to.

Stupid thick and great quality.

Not as much shielding as with the Amazon basic cable but seems to work just fine for me. I got this for short lengths.

I posted links with Amazon because that's where the Fire TV is coming from. If you shop around you may find that ebay is cheaper. But you will probably wait longer on the shipping. Enjoy and or flame on if you don't like Amazon....

I may keep this thread going if allowed as the deal of the day for Amazon Fire TV and upgrades. Not sure if that is even possible, on that note, this is a steal and better than the Ugreen USB ethernet adapter.

So, if someone is looking to add ethernet to their fire tv or stick, this deal is pretty slick. Remember to get the OTG adapter or cable also.

I just got that one, sending back the Ugreen. This one is half the price of the Ugreen, better built and best of all no super super bright blue light. It also comes with the power adapter. On Amazon Ugreen wants an additional $9.99 just for the power adaptor to go with theirs so $30 total. This one is built better in my opinion and its $9.99 shipped with the power adaptor, and I got it fast. You don't need power to add ethernet to the Fire tv. But if you do you can power the device from the splitters powered USB.

It looks like they took away the free one day shipping, probably because it is getting late in the day. Or they sold a bunch and stopped it.

I don't get it. Isn't a new Fire Stick like $39, and sometimes as low as $29?

This is the Fire TV not the stick. It is normally $69.99. It isn't the best deal for one I have seen. But if you shop around and get the accessories I have shown in the pictures. For about the regular price you can have a 4k 3rd generation that rivals the 2nd generation fire tv in streaming videos. For $30 less than what the 2nd generation ran.

I just got a new one for that price. If you scroll down on the page.for the refurbished you will get to this link.

New (1) from $49.99

Click on that and you will be taken to another page also confirming the price as new $49.99.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-l...dition=new

But in checkout you see the refurbished at $49.99 regularly $59.99 instead. So I called and asked what will I get? refurbished or new? I was told refurbished and that it was a site glitch. She then canceled the order for the refurbished and she told me to purchase a new one for $69.99 and she would put through a $20 refund making it $49.99 for a brand new one.

Don't understand what haters have against getting $10 off and free one day shipping. LoL it was the cheapest you were going to get one today from Amazon.

If you want one NOW then it's a good deal. I got a "used - good" for $40 last week.

I almost got that one. Someone posted that there's appeared to be new. When I decided I was going to, the deal was off. I really didn't need another one. I have gotten 2 new for $35 on the Directv deal and one new for $44.99. $49.99 new is the most that I have ever paid for one but I have a family member that wants me to set one up for them. So, I went with the best deal at this moment in time and I also wanted to share with people how simple it is to upgrade the 3rd gen. Wi-Fi is nice but these things, as they should, perform so much better wired.

I may keep this thread going if allowed as the deal of the day for Amazon Fire TV and upgrades. Not sure if that is even possible, on that note, this is a steal and better than the Ugreen USB ethernet adapter if someone is looking for a good one to add ethernet to their Fire TV or 2nd gen Stick.
