Tapping on a deal alert notification in iOS sometimes takes me to frontpage only in iOS.

For the past couple of months I've noticed that sometimes when I tap on a deal alert notification, the Slickdeals app opens to the frontpage and that's it. It won't take me to the actual deal. I end up having to search for it to find it.

I find that if I open Slickdeals app first and then go to my notifications in iOS and tap on the deal alert then I'm taken straight to the deal thread. This behavior started a couple of months ago. It's happening on my iPad with iOS 11 and my iPhone with iOS 10.

It seems like the problem happens when the Slickdeals app isn't open in the background and I tap to open a deal alert notification.

Yep. Came here to post the same thing.

If I get a deal alert notification on my lock screen for an item that I've specified in my SD preferences, it will take me directly to the deal.

If I get a frontpage alert in the iOS notifications for something I haven't specified, selecting the item only takes me to the front page, and I have to search for it.

Same. It's beyond frustrating. If you open the app first, then click on the notification, it'll go to the alert. It just won't open the alert if the app is force closed at the time or not currently suspended by iOS.
