I bought one of these during the last $350 BB sale and ended up returning it. After tuning with a Spyder 5 pro the reds were overblown compared to my CF791 (this is because the S2716DG is lacking in green) and the TN panel's blacks were very grey compared to the VA panel on the CF791. 144hz and gsync was great but not enough to move me away from 100hz 21:9 aspect ratio. I also run SLI cards and most games weren't getting past ~120FPS which is apparently due to frametime delays when you combine SLI and gsync. Ultimately not worth it for me.

Simply my two cents about the monitor. I also bought a 2716DGR for my youngest brother and he absolutely loves it.

Obligatory "It's a TN panel, it's crap." post that you always see. Just kidding. I own the 24" version of the gaming monitor and it's really nice. Colors are nice next to the two 1440p IPS monitors I have it between and there is very minimal light bleeding. 144hz and Gsync are really nice features and well worth any of the drawbacks in my opinion.

Does Slickdeals still have their own rebate offer for any Dell.com purchases made thru Slickdeals referral links? If so, I think this deal can be made slicker.

I know several cashback sites are offering between 8%-9% for Dell purchases today.

I wanted to love this monitor but after 2 defective monitors I just opted for the 1080p alienware with gsync and 240hz refresh rate. Obviously that's not exactly an alternative for a lot of people but the quality control (even both being a dell product) is night and day.

I got this monitor on the last $350 best buy sale and love it. Colors are great to me (though probably not accurate). Really nice screen estate and you're not gonna get 27"/1440p/144hz/Gsync from any other manufacturer for this price. This one is even hotter as its effectively $299 (if you have something else from dell to buy) which is I believe the cheapest it's ever been.

Bought this open box feom microcenter last fp deal. I would rate it an 8.5 / 10. Best monitor i have had. You do need to calibrate it to get the best quality . once you try gsync you cant do anything else. Be aware that for gsync to work you need an nvidia card powerful enough to pump AT LEAST 60fps at 1440p for this to be worth it. Why 8.5? Blacks. Just like all monitors tn or ips blacks are not truly blacks or they get backbleed.

No monitor will be worth a 10 until i get a 32 inch 1440p or higher gsync OLED with perfect blacks.

Anyone know what rev A07 had changed? A02 fixed hdcp and 03 changed the anti-glare coating.

Not sure but everyone says the A08 revision removes bulk of the banding issue. My A08 i got from best buy (mft date Dec 2017). I believe if you order online they are shipping out A09 (Jan 2018)

See 32in 1440p is too low res for the size. I've been wanting a 30in 1440p but no one makes a 30, which is bunk. 34-36 at 4k would be great, but we're not there over 60hz(except some upcoming that are $2k), and no hardware that can drive it consistently yet anyways.

Now if only Dell had something I could spend the $100 on that wasn't rip off priced.
