Port-In Mobile Numbers - Metro PCS

My family has the 4 lines/$100 at MetroPCS. We are looking to add 2 additional lines and want to stay with Metro bc we want to keep our current 4 ZTE ZMAX Pros. I'm trying to find the least expensive way to add these 2:

1. A new line - no current active phone #.

2. A new line - no current active phone #, but has a Huawei Honor 5x she uses for WIFI and would like to use it on her new Metro account.

I'm not sure what the cost will be at Metro. I'm hoping we can keep the $20/each additional line for service. I'll be going over to Metro later to confirm, but if anyone knows for sure, the info would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me the least expensive methods to add these lines? (ie- get a free # from X and port in to Metro for the free phone w/switch deal?)

Thanks so much!

Do you need to stay at Metro?

I've switched my line from T-Mobile to Sprint under their free 1 year plan and been paying around $3/month for the last 3 months now.

This is a SD thread on that.

Check Sprint coverage and ask your neighbors or coworkers first.

Yes, we need to stay with Metro as we love the ZTE ZMAXes and Sprint does not support them...or so they said when I called around Black Friday.

I may just buy a cheapo Tracfone. They used to come with minimal minutes and get an assigned phone number. I could set up the non-Huawei user that way, I think. (Factoring in the difference of Tracfone cost vs. Port-in savings, of course.)

Sprint does work well in my area - except parts on the NJ Pinelands.

Thanks so much for the replies.

If you could get Moto E4 Plus less than $70 from Target, you may consider switching to Sprint and Moto E4 plus will be a great replacement for your current ZTE ZMax.
