I used to own these Wemo switches years ago. They gave me nothing but constant headaches. Either they take 5+ seconds to repond to Alexa commands, don't respond at all, or they simply stop working and require a reset taking up to 20 minutes wasted each time.

Also, if there is a power outage in the house, you have to go individually reset every single switch and connect them back to your wifi network. Was a total pain in the ass.

I finally got rid of these and switched over to TP-link siwtches instead. They have been working flawlessly in all aspects for 3 years and going.

Excellent deal. Only better one I have seen was in-store only at microcenter. I'm pretty excited to be able to turn on my ceiling fan with Google assistant.
These work with Alexa and Google home. They work with Apple homekit too but you need a wemo bridge for that. The app allows you to put your lights on a schedule or timer.

Awesome deal. Have this for my porch lights and you just have to set it and forget it. Paid almost double months ago.

I have two of these but prefer the dimmers. Still, these work pretty great and pair well with Alexa. Love telling Alexa to turn off the lights when I'm already on the couch to watch TV.

Reminder, these don't support 3-way switch configs (if the light is controlled by more than one switch). Other than that, they're one of the best ways to start smart homes, easy to setup and integrate with Alexa/Google very well.

While it won't work in a 3 way, you can replace one switch with a blank face plate and the other with the Wemo. For some people who hardly use one of the switches the added convenience of voice/mobile control is worth more than that of two switches.

Honestly the only way to go is Lutron... They are more $$ but I've switched every switch in my house to them and absolutely love them. One one the best things is that on 3way and more way lights (giggity) you wire in the switch at the main light switch then all the other switches are wireless remotes. The remotes can be mounted to the wall next to a box, and you put a wall plate over them and you would have no idea their isn't a box behind the remote.

When we did the addition we didn't think that it would be convenient to have a kitchen switch with the dining lights but once I was done I was kicking myself. Well with the Lutrons I put a remote on the wall, switched the 3 gang switchplate to a 4, and now I have a switch right where I needed it, no wires needed.
