The product ending with $$$.97 means clearance, therefore there are only few left in stock.
The specs:
Powerful 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ Quad Core Processor with improved media engine for smooth and uninterrupted 4K UHD playback or encoding.
15.6" 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) WideView touchscreen display and GTX 1050 4GB discrete graphics for flawless visuals.
16GB DDR4 RAM; 256GB SSD + 2TB HDD storage combo.
Hyper Cool, dual-copper and dual-fan cooling system.
Harman Kardon certified dual stereo speakers create improved audio quality with louder, clearer, and accurate sounds.
Slim 15" wide, 0.8" thin and portable footprint; Ergonomic backlit keyboard with fingerprint sensor.
Comprehensive connections with USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen1), USB 3.1 Type-A, USB 2.0, HDMI, & headphone/mic ports for every device.
Durable & long-lasting lithium polymer battery with fast charging technology that charges up to 60% capacity in just 49 minutes; Lightning-fast dual band 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi keeps you connected through any congestion or interference.

I believe this is a solid deal for those specs. Costco's phenomenal warranty and return policy are extras.

Asus seems to have quality control issues, but this is Costco, so no worries(at least for 90 days)

I own Asus. Not this model, but I bought a high end one from Costco 2 years ago. Paid $1700 I recall, but works perfectly great 2 years later. Yes, if anything, return in 90 days!

I have a gaming Asus and the screen is falling apart after 2 years.

Depends on what you want from the laptop.

It's a good deal for the specs. Significantly cheaper the the Dell XPS 15 with comparable innards. (Though this display is not as accurate with colors as the Dell)

Definitely avoid ASUS for laptops. ASUS is quite bad at providing BIOS updates, even for security vulnerabilities. Samsung provides 0 BIOS update.

Purchasing with Citi card for total of 4 years...
$600 new laptop I bought couple months ago was running way too slow out of box...
This should be enough and if it breaks it should be within 4 years...
Costco warranty is great... which is the main reason buying from them...
