Good price and choice for "Pi-hole" if you have MC nearby. Other alternative is your wireless router with Entware-capable for Ab-Solution.

And the Pi Zero w is $5 (Not as good as $3.14 on Pi day, but still a good price)

Pi-Zero W works to, and it's only $5(I have mine setup for pi-hole). I'm no expert though maybe the B+ has more capabilities.

For only pihole there is nothing else the B+ can really do.

Can now confirm that this deal is also compatible with $5 off $30 MicroCenter In-Store Purchase coupon. Available at a prominent "Retail" coupon website. Use something small as a filler to get over $30 or add the Pi-Zero W for free after coupon when you get to the store. My location had plenty in stock, so ordering online for in-store pickup was not necessary.

Sure, how long did it take you to build the whole Pi Zero W? Any additional hardware besides the $5 cost of the board?

Should note router alternative is better (performance-wise), maybe help some avoid an unneeded purchase. Discussion on SNB is here [snbforums.com]. Thx for mentioning both.

TU for MC deal. None close but I p/u on interstate drive-by.

EDIT
Looking over AB-solution, not seeing why it wouldn't also run under optware-ng [github.com]. Going to give it a try.

EDIT2
AB-solution is most definitely compatible with optware-ng [github.com], as with other similar package managers. On further inspection though, it seems to operate exactly as a blocking script I wrote for transmission -- IOW, no need for a separate new program, just process and apply the new blocklists. (If good when done, have to add link to my sig.)

The Pi-hole is for people with old routers. For any new and capable routers, I think it would be better as no-additional resources needed to block ads and other annoyances.

Pi Zero is even better for pi-hole. No need to use an expensive PI.

Please put BM only in title for MC deals where shipping isn't offered.
