I don't know why they call this a 4 tool set when there are only 2 1/2 tools.

It includes:
- a drill
- a circular saw
- and a flashlight that I can't consider a full tool.

I'm not sure how that is considered four tools, unless they consider the charger a "tool" now?

edit - I see now the thing that looks like a battery is a USB "power source" to make it tool #4

BTW, I have the circular saw, and it is awesome (for cordless).

Interesting that the picture paired with the post is a "4 tool kit" with the impact driver, drill, reciprocating saw, and flashlight.

Isn't Lowes discontinuing Kobalt in favor of Craftsman? If so, that may make it difficult to get replacement batteries in the future.

Just speculation at this point [toolguyd.com], but I don't see how they could carry two complete lines of similarly priced/similar quality tools

Craftsman tools was recently purchased by Stanley. Craftsman are now sold in many places including ACE and even my local farm supply store. Kobalt is their house brand of so many tools from basic hand tools to power tools. I personally don't see this as a risk that the kobalt brand is collapsed in favor of Craftsman. This simply will not happen unless Lowe's buys Craftsman. Also the argument that they can't stock multiple sets of tools is just absurd.
