Awhile back they had a sale on the X series, so good for those who got it. But the X series ran hot and a big flop.

Not a bad price for X299 board!

I have an odd question though. Anyone know of any small-ish foot print EATX chassis on the market? Possibly with somewhat decent airflow?

I will only be using m.2 for storage.

TIA!

This looks like a good price..... I have a Microcenter near me and even the open box X299 mobos arent this cheap. A couple may be around the same open box with the discount for buying a processor at the same time....

Is now a good time to buy or are new things coming down the line soon? Haven't kept up with processors in a little while. I'm running an i7 2600k still, but would like to upgrade the Proc/Mobo/RAM. I have a GTX 1070 and everything I can reuse. Want to set the 2600k up as a server for Blue Iris/etc.

I guess i'll go research the advantages of the 2066 of 1151 socket.

The X470 is worth the stretch. All the spectre horrors going on with Intel right now ain't a joke. They haven't even begun to deploy fixes on the desktop yet for the new gen vulnerabilities.
