Great card. I owned this for about 10 mos (just sold it). It looks good and runs quiet and cool. It has pretty good looking white LED lighting (for those with a window). I recommend the card... but keep in mind the 1180 is right around the corner (the reason I sold mine now) and this cards value likely will drop dramatically after it's release.

How do you play games now without a card?

Do you have a backup card? Or just not planning on playing games? I think the demand for the ti will still be there because I bet it's going to be months before you see any 1180s staying in stock for more than an hour.

MSRP of the 1180 Ti is $699.99 I would wait. Only 2 months away. It demolishes this card.
1180 Ti is at least a year away. The 11 series hasn't even been announced yet, and it would start with the 1180 and 1170.

Yes. I popped in my old 980 GTX for now. My statement isn't intended for those in need TODAY... more aimed at those thinking of upgrading from a functional system. If you can lower some textures for a month or two, you'll likely save Hundreds of dollars. I'm predicting that, at that time, you can then scoop a 1080ti for LESS THAN a 1170.

I'll bet you some crypto that you will not see that happen Smilie there's no way you see a 1080 ti for $450 before the end of the year (that'd be my prediction for the 1170 price). When the 1080/1070 was launched the 980gtx was still sitting around the $500 mark except with a deal, and that was without the huge influx of cryptomining demand that happened through 2017.

LOL! No 1180Ti in a year,
what your thinking is 1180, 1180 < 1080ti

No one knows the future. But current 1170 release pricing is being reported at $499. It is also reported to be on par with the 1080ti (currently in this thread advertised at $750). That's a $250 savings for those willing to wait roughly 2 months. Again, if you need a great card NOW, I highly recommend this one. My information is there to help those "on the fence" make their own educated decision.

Was gonna wait for the 1180, but ended up ordering this yesterday.

good thing about B&H is no tax and you can get 5% cashback if you checkout with paypal with a chase card.

While you may be right about the future, there were some insane deals when the 1080 came out. I got a 980ti for 370 and a 980 for 250, and there were multiple opportunities for other deals as well that I passed on. I agree that crypto is going to change how they clear stock this time around, but in general you can save an enormous amount of money if you wait for the new cards to release.

I think with so many people waiting for the 1170/1180. it gonna be at least 3-4month after release that anyone can pick 1 up. 100% sure there gonna be bot that will monitor these 24/7
