Now just bend over forward for any decent CL 14 memory and watch the savings evaporate.

TU, I had a similar MB as part of a different combo. Sold it for $70-$80 along with other items to bring my total cost down a significant amount.

I really dig this Mobo look. Almost bit in the pro4/1700 combo last week but memory options nixed it. Think I'm gonna jump on this one. Thanks OP

Not as great of a deal as it first seems because you also have to buy a cooler, whereas it won't be long until you could get a 2700x and x470 for around $380 probably and have the newer tech.

How does this compare to the Microcenter 1700 for $169AR plus a motherboard for $40-$100?

The Ryzen Vega APUs are only included with the 2200 and 2400 series - i.e. you need a discrete graphics card for anything above those entry level offerings. Think of the Vega APUs as equivalent to Intels onboard APUs, only significantly better...

It isn't the memory...It is the video cards that are horrible.

you don't really need CL14 for Ryzen. Corsair's LPX DDR4 3000 or 3200 kits have worked very well for me on multiple ryzen builds. I would recommend at least DDR4 3000 or higher however as Ryzen likes fast Ram.
