Well now that mining isnt a viable profit option on the low end of the spectrum, these gpus are starting to come back to their destined prices. Looking at the deal as a whole though, it's not very good as I believe the gtx 1070 ti was available for $450 like 1 week ago or so. Would only recommend to buy these once they fall below msrp otherwise these cards are pretty bad deals.

Yes from a strictly gaming prespective u are spot on. But my electricity cost is low and I can mine on PC when not using it. Best of both worlds.

While not crazy profitable like it was last year at the top, this is still good enough for many. People keep buying antminer crap even though the timeframe to recover the costs is several months out. With most cards, specially decently priced, you can recover your investment in 4-6 months and the GPU still has decent resale value....of course, at the top you could recover your investment pretty quickly

Yes i agree. Also ppl keep comparing Nvidia to AMD but forget to mention or remember that Freesync monitors are affordable compared to Gsync. My 75Hz monitor would work really well with Vega 64 or 56. Also when not using PC, i can mine with this card and who knows how the crypto market will be end of the year.

I hope they are worth nothing and you actually lose money by getting stuck with hardware and taxes. Mining is a fool's game that does nothing of value and actually hurts the environment.

You know what else hurts the environment, space heaters. Space heaters consume a crapload more power than an enthusiast's mining rig; hell, strapping four of these to a rig and tuning the power tables runs about the equivalent of a small space heater set to the 800w low setting..
If you're going to heat your house with electricity, at least have it make you some money Hide
