A little concerned about the negative reviews on this one, but looks like a good price. Anyone have experience with board?

Eh, nobody has rated it on there. If you uncheck the box by allowing all related product reviews, this paricular one has 0 reviews. that worries me since so many gigabyte z370 boards are rated as total crap.

I also can't decide whether to get a 8700 or 2700x, so it's tough to decide whether to buy this mobo or not. I really was leaning towards the amd.

Also, what makes this any better than lower end gigabyte boards, for instance? Such as the hdp3? When I look at specs I don't see anything much different on these normally higher prices mobos.

On amazon... same thing, narrow the reviews to only the gaming 3 and it has 0 reviews.

Also, what sucks is gigabyte has so many horrible reviews and about everyone with problems says their support is horrible, apparently, but the other brands with similar prices also have worse audio specs.

There is a very thorough review of this exact board on tweaktown.... but notice when it compares actual performance with a lot of motherboards they are all VERY close to the same numbers over and over and over on most tests. They rated this board very highly, but I don't see why it's any better than the hdp3 I mentioned, when they have almost the same performance numbers. This mobo adds wifi and better overclocking features, but if I get intel I am likely getting the 8700, ie no overclocking.

That being said, with this price it's around the same as the lesser expensive ones, so who knows. Although probably for me what would be better is if they have a promo code for the hdp3 or hd3p w/e it's called.

edit2: don't know that I'd pay attention to tweaktown, anyway. their buying guide is dumb. it says "the motherboard above" has a great feature, basically, then doesn't even tell which brand or model of motherboard it is. And it says most z370 mobos they have seen have audio that, in reality, I have only seen on a few of them.

Sigh. I probably should have just got it anyway. I don't want to pay much above $100, so I couldn't really get better for the price... All brands other than gigabyte have worse audio, unless you pay around $150.
