CANNOT BE UNLOCKED unless you have 12 months of service with Straight Talk. No eBay unlocks verified to work with Straighttalk and other America Movil MVNO brands

I don't know about this phone but it's been my experience that you can use a ST phone with any carrier in the TracFone family without being unlocked. That includes Net10, Total Wireless, PagePlus, Walmart Family Mobile, etc.

Same thing in my experience but I would suggest to use it with the company it's from since that's the only way to get it unlocked. In let's say 2 years when you wanna upgrade it'll be easier to sell it as unlocked or pass it down to a family member when it's not locked a group of MVNOs.

Unlock Policy [tfwunlockpolicy.com] 12 months of consecutive service before it may be unlocked and used on other carriers.

If you are paying that much for this phone, and not plan on staying with ST, it's a bad deal

I bought the iphone 6 on Total Wireless on last year's BF deal, held on to it for 3 months before activating it. When I called TW to activate, they told me it would only activate on ST. Weird, but didn't feel like making 100 calls and holding for hours trying to get it activated on TW.

Word. I would just get the 6S if money is an issue. Hold on to it and then get the 8 next year when the price drops. 6S -> 7 is not a big jump. The camera was barely improved, no dual lens, and no headphone jack. I'm really happy with my 6S. Mint sim + 6S is a good plan.

If unlocked, would it work for GSM services?

Or trade in Smilie I got a 32GB iPhone 7 from Virgin for $150 after rebate last year and traded it in for $300 credit on a new phone this year.

Wish it was for the 7+. I don't even mind staying on ST for a year. I've been on cricket for years, and I never get any promotion for phone upgrades, so I'm pretty much done with them.

It could not beat Virgin Mobile devices or services.

Glad to see specials have advanced to the 7 so 6S can die. I just wish it was the Plus model.
