I had a nostalgia popcorn maker and it caught fire. I would stay away if the reviews are not good.

first time I ever saw a cotton candy maker, I owned an ice cream maker, but I seriously do not know what difference it makes between stirring the ice cream mix by hand rather than with a machine

We have the larger Snow cone maker. Kids used it all last summer. At least once a week. I made lots of different syrup flavors for them. Bought a pack of water bottles with spouts and put the different flavors in those.

Definitely worth this price. Yes it is loud when you grind up the ice, but we take it out on the porch to use. My only concern is that the blade will eventually get dull Or break, and I don't see any way to replace. But for this price I can buy another one.

I have the cotton candy maker and it actually is awesome. Heats up fairly quick and clean up is semi easy. All what you need to remember is that its small so of course its not going to make huge batches.

Also have the cotton candy maker, pretty much had the same experience

Don't just throw random candy in it (I know... that's exactly what the packaging on it says to do), that can be hit or miss

If you use actually cotton candy sugar (you can buy off amazon) or even just plain granular sugar you get excellent results.

Just need to have a little patience and don't expect it to make a mountain of cotton candy in one go.

It makes about a solo cups worth of cotton candy per 'Cycle' of loading the little dish where the sugar goes

The cotton candy maker is okay on the junkier side. Takes a lot of jolly ranchers to make a decent size cotton. There are also instructions where you have to let the thing heat up before adding candy - some people don't read instructions. You can use disposable chopsticks as the handle on the cotton instead of buying their purpose made ones. I would maybe pay $8-10 for it. Sits on the shelf taking up space.

I bought the snow cone party station for my sons upcoming bday. Should I make the shaved ice ahead and keep it? Any recommendations of what kind of syrup I should buy?

thank you
