If only it was the gaming auros 7. breaking this down by Amazon current prices, it's 718.88$ for all three items.... of course you can buy cheaper at different times, doesn't make it such a hot deal.

I am dying to upgrade my 4670k, but RAM prices are just a joke right now. At this point it looks like I'll be holding out until Ice Lake.

Why, must have feature in the 7?

Seems like a good price. I was just pricing stuff out at Microcenter (I have one close) a couple days ago and it seemed much more than this, even with their combo deals.... I decided to just buy some more DDR3 for my 2600k build though.. Really want to upgrade but may just wait for the next generation to come out now.

Not that great. You could buy the same processor and motherboard separately on the same site and comparable memory for around $660 or so, so it's decent savings, but not amazing ones. Especially for me, who would rather just buy a $100 mobo.
Issue is with $100 MB, you need to consider if it'll overclock to your desired speed. If you care about the other features like RGB, WiFi, bios updates, etc.

7 has better audio, better vrms, and a second nic. Other than that they're about the same

Not really a good deal. I think people are just repping it because they don't know better.

Im in the same boat. Im on a 4790k and its mostly RAM prices keeping me from upgrading.

Not everyone is going to overclock though or gonna do liquid cooling. Id say the majority of people dont even both with that stuff except maybe built in auto overclocking in the BIOS that pretty much all Mobos offer now.
