I don't want to vacuum for longer than the battery lasts, so it's perfect! Honey, battery died... laugh out loud

It's not the main vacuum in our house but for spot cleaning or vacuuming the stairs especially it is much more convenient to grab a stick vacuum like this then to break out our Dyson corded animal vacuum. For small tasks like that, the short battery life is really a non-issue.

If I'm vacuuming a large area like a full room of carpet then I still get out the big boy since the battery life of the stick vacuum could be an issue and it may be me but I think the corded animal cleans deeper then the stick on carpet. I wouldn't use a stick vacuum as a full replacement to a corded vacuum personally since I think they both have there place.

FYI - I picked up the Dyson V6 slim for $49 at Walmart from a YMMV B&M deal which was definitely worth it IMO.

We do the entire first floor of our house (about 1400sf) on a single charge with the V6. A minute or two of that is on Turbo, which is a real battery killer.

It's never even run low.

Anybody have any comments on V6 HEPA vs V7 Absolute? Is it mainly the battery life that's better, or are there other features too?

It's a Godsend in the apartment, me and my roommate love it. I think it's dependent on just how much you need to cover.

Bought this from Yarget about 3 months ago. It was a steal at $150. We like it, but I'm not sure how long it will last. The plastic female part of the vac that receives the tube feels flimsy and flexes when you push it through carpet. For $150, I can deal.

Other than that, it's been a great vacuum.

Don't buy V6. It's too loud. V7 is way better.
