No experience with this, but even w/o batteries a brushless 12" miter saw (not sliding) still seems like a SD to me.

Almost bought this and then I realized it wasn't this slider. Still not a bad deal but not what I'm looking for spending this kind of money.

it's not like you have a selection when it comes to cordless 12" sliders

Right but what I mean is if I'm going to spend this kind of money might as well put it towards a saw that i want. The dewalt slider. Otherwise I'm going to have this one and still want the other one

I have this saw and prefer it to the slider. I am rarely cutting wide enough for it to matter and if I need to I can just flip it. I always care if it's more accurate which this saw should be. I paid $300 and was very happy with that since I have the batteries already.
