As for the confirmation, AAA has a good reputation, so if they say they'll do something, I'd trust it.
(Disclaimer: I'm a member. I needed to tow a vehicle, and with AAA you can sign up and use your first tow all in the same call. Kinda handy if you need towing unexpectedly.)
