Saw reviews that this one is easier and fun for a casual gamer. Any feedback from SDers?

Really? I heard it was a super steep learning curve and until you master it, it's not that fun... Also interested in others opinions!

Game does have a deep learning curve. It's so much to do in this game. Entire purpose of the game is to fight and loot. Upgrade. Rinse and repeat. After you get the hang of it, it does become fun. Just gotta have patience.

Awesome game, coming from d1 and whack d2. This game can be as casual or hardcore depending on the player. I got 350hrs into it and I'm still playing weekly or daily whenever I have time. A bit of a learning curve but once you get used to it man it's fun. The match making is everything what d2 dreams of. Play by yourself on all monsters or call for help for 4 man group to help your similar quest at any time. Or drop into other people's quest. 14 weapons all do just about same damage pending your play style. There is no one best in my opinion. Ive only mastered 3 weapons if anything. My crew doesn't play that much when they hit end game but 35 bucks for 100hrs worth of OH SH1T monster moments is worth it.

It's got a steep learning curve but if you stick with it you will be rewarded. It takes practice and determination. Don't quit after your first wall.

I found this game easy only because I've sunk 1,000's of hours into the series since MH on PS2.

It is much easier than the older versions since it's actually on a console. Controls are much better.

The game is fantastic. I've put well over 500 hours into it since release and would do it again.

I sold this after about 10 hours of playing. There are many ways to approach the game, as weapons totally change the combat style and will open new windows. What I didn't like is that the recurring theme is: hunt single monster objective -> upgrade weapons and armor -> hunt another single monster and upgrade again. Rinse and repeat. If the idea of going straight to bosses over and over, with few things to do in between as fun, you should get it. But this one is a rent first then buy for most people like myself.

This is my first Monster Hunter game and I am totally hooked. I play it every chance I get. Absolutely love it. I also thoroughly enjoyed horizon zero dawn and the uncharted series as a reference as well as most shooters.

But yes some weapons have a steep learning curve but some like the hammer are easy and still a blast. There are tons of YouTube tutorials I would recommend checking those out first

My nephew has been playing it since it first came out. I think it's the only thing he's played for the last few months. Other games he's really liked are Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I've been thinking about getting it myself, but I probably won't bc it seems like a game you really have to put a lot of time into. But if I had the time I'd definitely get it

This was my first monster hunter game and I could not get into it at all. Definitely steep learning curve.

Generally no. You can always try (add coupon and show the discounted price on your phone). The best option for this is to go in person and ask a manager. This has worked for me a few times.
