Seems kinda silly a site that is all about deals doesn't let you post on how to get the best deal possible.

That's because the cashback you would earn clicking through one of those sites gets paid to SD instead when you click many of the links here. They don't host and maintain this site out of the goodness of their hearts. It's a major business venture financed to a large degree from affiliate revenue from thousands of users clicking links posted here and then purchasing from those clicks.

For those of you who are suspicious about this drive. I got this drive on ebay several month ago and it's a very solid SSD that's comparable to Samsung's 850 Evo which I upgraded from. I had a Samsung 850 Evo 1TB and due to Steam, I was running low on disk space, so I bought this 2TB Micron 1100 and let me tell you, I see no difference on performance from day to day usage, and best of all, Micron's software called Micron Storage Executive is way better than the Samsung's Magician software, the Micron Storage Executive also support using your system DRAM for caching like the Samsung's Rapid feature. Micron has it's own name for Rapid, it's called Momentum Cache and the software also has firmware updates built in, it's a very nice piece of software. I got my 2TB Micron 1100 for less than $180 brand new but you can't get it at that price now cuz I double dipped using ebay 20% off and citi price rewind. For $257.45, this is the lowest possible price I've seen on this drive without the double dipping. Here's the link for the software for those of you who already have this drive or planning to order this drive cuz the software doesn't come with this drive, you gotta get it from the website: https://www.micron.com/products/s...e-software

Got one for $268 last week. Performance for sure is not great but is not too bad either for household use. Downgraded from MX500 to this one for the capacity.

I always see comments like this but no one ever mentions these well known sites. Where can I find more information?

That's because you can't list them here as they are blocked from posting and any attempt to get around the filters will result in a smacking on the hand by the SD staff.
