The 580 would work much better than the 590 for those that are space limited or don't want two huge towers. The 590's are biiig.

8" vs 6.5" size is the question.
I fortunately have a dedicated media room about 12'x18' so those big boys should fit nicely. Looking for $900 for the pair deal to come back from few months back.

With your room dimensions these will be FINE. Seriously, for most people the 590s are a massive overkill. And there's no sacrifice in sound quality.

Anyone know a good set of surrounds to pair with these? I'd love the 530s but they are impossible to find. Studio 210 and 220 don't look to be as good in terms of specs, was considering the Arena 130s instead but I wasn't sure if they timbre match the 500 series.

For most, that maybe true. However, my media room is also 20x30 and my Polk rti a7s just don't cut it. So yes, I would rather take bigger JBLs (590) anytime over 580 or just go with rf-7.
