It is ETL listed. It needs to be certified by either UL or ETL. Peace

How is this better than any home goods store? They're all cheaper than this.

Are you looking at regular outlets or GFCI outlets? Cheapest I can see at HD is about 14$ for a tamper resistant style, which are usually a little bit more than the ones w/o.

Cheapest at Lowes or HD is $33 for a 3 pack. I just replaced all of mine. This is a great deal.

Notice the tamper resistant. Very good. I use 20 amp outside, garage, kitchen, laundry. 15 amp bathrooms. 2 packs seem to be on sale periodically. I do not know remember the best brands.

Completely false.

Certifications for little Chinese products like this are a box for the company to check. Laboratories that certify products test for specific safety requirements, and that is all, they don't care if the product dies the next day.

ETL certs are cheaper, faster, and easier to get. They are commonly associated with cheaper products in the industry.

UL and CSA/US are well-known and well-trusted, but more expensive and take longer to get.

Feel free to do a little research on it.

On paper they both conform to OSHA and are both NRTLs (National recognized testing laboratory), but any electrician or engineer would definitely be happier to see the UL mark than the ETL.

These cheap gfci can almost always be found on amazon at the $10 and below price point. Much better off getting a well known brand for a few bucks more.
