I'd love an ego hedge trimmer but holding out hope that the power head system with interchangeable attachments goes on sale.

I spent a lot of time looking at that option as I was starting to buy some lawn tools this weekend, and decided to go with the individual tools. Seems like the interchangeable head is just another part that can break and need replacing, and unless you're getting at least 3 attachments, the price difference is negligible.

I just got an Ego mower and string trimmer yesterday. Seen this price on hedge trimmer and was tempted but I'm already pushing my budget getting the string trimmer.

I already use an EGO 56V trimmer on the same battery system that I love. Might pick this up and sell off my Stihl gas hedge trimmer.

I can't comment on the price because I don't remember how much I paid for this, but I can say the hedge trimmer itself is great, I've got a ton of boxwoods, yews and larger shrubs, and this thing is awesome for them. Battery time much longer than previous battery powered ones too (45 mins+)

In the same boat. Hoping for a deal on the power head stuff.

If we are this far into the season without a deal we probably won't see one. Think I'm going to break down and buy some of the discounted stuff now.

I waited on that for so long, but I had to get a hedge trimmer and just couldn't justify the system's price when I had 2 working gas weed whackers.

I use my 7.5Ah battery to run my trimmer, and it's a bit heavier, but not unmanageable. Bare tool for $99 is a good deal. Tool + Battery is a slickdeal at this price.

Thumbs up, great deal. I picked up the blower/trimmer combo deal a couple weeks ago and the blower is fantastic, has chopped my time at least in half vs my old corded one.

Between that deal and this I now have 3 batteries and 3 chargers, might try to sell one of each and essentially make the hedge trimmer a freebee.

I went down this rabbit hole just now. EGO apparently makes the best cordless string trimmer as well. But man the 5.0 aH battery is super expensive. I was at a toss up between this or the greenworks on sale from amazon. But apparently the EGO is the only one that can cut thick things like bamboo. I need a string trimmer to go through tons of ivy. How long does this go on the 2.5 aH battery? anyone know by chance?

I have the 4.0 ah battery so can't comment on that, but the trimmer itself is fantastic. I mow and get around my 10k sq ft property with lots of lawn and edging, and stuff, and have battery left.
