Have this wi-fi thermostat in our beach house. It is reliable as hell and the Honeywell app is easy to use. Automatically relinks to my router after a power outage every time. No spying on your household via Google eithet.

Any knowledgeable folk out there that can comment on whether or not adding a "C" wire should be safe for an older home with copper wiring? Interested in this for my parents. Thanks

Add a couple bucks from the home dept and sporting goods dept to make $75 and use the P15HOME coupon code in the app for an extra $15 off - worked for me

No reason to get this when a Sensi doesn't require a C wire and gets better reviews.

Does the wireless version have the option to switch automatically between heat and ac? I get so tired of switching it back and forth when the weather is transitioning in spring and fall

Our A/C guy said thermostat like that requires that heat and cool settings are at least 4 degrees apart.

What's a good $3 filler to maximize the discount?

I have the touchscreen. Very reliable. You can program every day differently. Only complaint is that it doesn't automatically switch between heat and cool.
