To clarify: that's $15 total - so less than $3/mo per user.

what's the benefit of having premium? (as opposed to free)

thanks!

Works like Spotify. Can search for and play specific songs, create playlists, save for offline listening, and you get unlimited skips and no ads.

Haven't used pandora in years. Does it still have the best algorithm for finding new music.

As far as that goes, I prefer it to Spotify. Haven't used any other services so that's the only comparison I can make.

at $15/mo. you might as well just go with Spotify,.. it's not worth 1 extra user that Pandora is offering..
the selection from Spotify is huge.. there wasn't a single time that I couldn't find what I was looking for and the music i listen to is the less unknown titles (Indies).

I have the trial version of Pandora one right now. There's a LOT of songs "only available on radio mode." For example, if the radio I have plays a song from an artist ive never heard of, I'd look into the album of that song only to discover I can't manually play songs from that album due to licensing issues

Interesting...thanks for that info.

The way I see it, this is basically a better version of XM radio (completely free of all ads and talking) for a heck of a lot less money.

Avid Pandora user here. I have Plus for no ads, skips and honestly, to support Pandora because it's such a huge part of my daily life. I tried Spotify, Google Play and Amazon Music and they simply can't compare when it comes to the music genome project results. If you like genres and want to listen to stations that you can tweak and discover more music on, Pandora is the best.

Still too much. Rather just stick with the Spotify family plan.

Just some food for thought. Pandora has far less music than Spotify or Apple music. The value is simply not there to go for the premium. I have the $5 a month plan that allows unlimited skipping because I have stations I have worked on for years. With that said, I constantly hear the same songs in the course of a couple hours. Spotify's library dwarfs Pandora's and the ability to queue songs, make playlists collaborative and your daily playlists are all features which make it an easy choice over Pandora. Apple music needs a lot of catching up in the ease of use category.

I remember when it use to be $30 for the year. I use to pay for it back then even though I knew the hacked version was available. They got greedy and more then doubled the price for the year subscription. Thats when I went to the hacked version, been using it ever since.

To add my 2 cents,
-- My wife, myself and pretty much all our grown-up family members are huge Pandora fans. I have tried Spotify, Amazon Music and Google Play music and still love Pandora. Hands down my preferred service.
-- The kids/teens in the family seem to gravitate more towards using Spotify and Apple Music. Although even they agree that Pandora's radio is better than Spotify but they love Spotify's/Apple Music's playlists.
-- Nobody and I mean NOBODY likes Google Play music although every kid keeps creating new Google accounts to get free trials of YouTube Red.

I may actually pay for the Pandora family plan just for the wife and myself and add a couple of other family members.
